Thor’s M8 Idris Elba Is DJing In Sydney Tomorrow Night

OK so get this: Hollywood superstar and occasional otherdimensional demi-god Idris Elba is in town and getting ready to drop some phat beats on an unsuspecting Sydney D-floor.

Elba, who play’s Thor’s Asgardian bro Heimdall in the Marvel franchise, will be hitting the decks at The Underground inside Paddington’s Goodbar tomorrow night (Thursday, 29th September) in what will be his Aussie DJ debut.

The venue made the ~lo-key~ announcement on Facebook, proclaiming Elba’s imminent arrival:

Before making it big as an actor [Elba] was deep into house music and now following off the back of recent roadblock DJ sets at Output in New York, Egg LDN and summer sets at Glastonbury Festival (official) and Eastern Electrics, Idris Elba has dropped a brand new original tune Spectacle from his new major music project, Hiatus.

On Thursday night Idris gets set to make his Australian debut downstairs in The Underground at the newly opened Goodbar on Oxford St, Paddington alongside local all-stars Nicky Night Time and Handles.

Who knew that Luther was such a gun on the 1s and 2s?

And the best part? Entry is – much like humanity after The Avengers saved it from being destroyed by Ultron – free.
