Tim Lambesis’ Austrian Death Machine Album To Go Ahead Despite Murder-For-Hire Trial

You’d think being on trial in a murder-for-hire case that doesn’t seem to be going your way would mean you’d have bigger things on your mind than releasing the third installment of your Arnold Schwarzenegger parody/tribute band, but an update from within camp Austrian Death Machine has confirmed that the band, fronted by the embattled Tim Lambesis, will still be releasing their new album Triple Brutal.

In an anonymous post to their Facebook page, a member of the band states, “I’m working on that this starting this week now that I have the files. The CD should be done soon and then we’ll start planning to manufacture.” The statement doesn’t address any legal issues in the announcement, simply informing fans that since Lambesis has completed the vocal tracks for the album, all that’s left to do now is mix. You can read the full statement below.

Austrian Death Machine is inspired by the exploits of ex-Governator Arnold Schwarzenegger and has actually seen some impressive success since the idea became a reality. The third album was funded via an Indiegogo campaign which allowed fans to donate their cash – perhaps one of the main reasons why the release had to go ahead. It’s reported one fan went as far as to donate $1,500 for a chance to lay down some of his/her own vocals.

The guest list for the album features an impressive lineup, with Jamey Jasta (Hatebreed), Doc Coyle, (God Forbid), Johnny Plague (Winds of Plague), Scott Lewis (Carnifex) and many more making an appearance.

There have been no further updates on Lambesis trial since the As I Lay Dying singer fronted just $160,000 of the $2 million set to make bail. As I Lay Dying have cancelled all touring commitments. Lambesis’ next day in court will be Wednesday, 26th June.
