Sydney rockers Tonight Alive have announced a 2017 ‘Back To Beginnings’ national tour, which will see the band revisit venues where they first cut their teeth.
Jenna McDougall and co. last toured Australia with A Day To Remember in December last year, and will return with a set of seven new headline shows across Canberra, Wollongong, Sydney, Newcastle, Brisbane, Adelaide and Melbourne this October and November, all supported by Melbourne outfit The Beautiful Monument. Catch all the dates and ticket details, below.
What’s more, Tonight Alive have also announced a competition that will give local bands the chance to support them in the opening slot on each city of the ‘Back To Beginnings’ tour. To apply, bands must feature a female member.
“We have toured with plenty of awesome bands around the world, and we’ve noticed more bands have female members and the number of women getting involved is growing too,” say Tonight Alive.
“The rock genre, and music in general, is male dominated for no good reason at all. Women are awesome and we want to celebrate that. So for this tour we want to know who the best rock bands in Australia with female members are. We’re running a competition in each city to find new and exciting bands to open our shows.”
