Tropical Fuck Storm Share New Single ‘Legal Ghost’

Tropical Fuck Storm have shared their second single for the year, ‘Legal Ghost’. It’s a reworking of a track band member Gareth Liddiard originally wrote and recorded in the late ’90s as part of his Bong Odyssey project with original Drones bassist Rui Pereira.

The collection was recently reissued via TFS Records/Bang!, and Liddiard says ‘Legal Ghost’ caught his ears while digging through the old material.

“This is the first song I ever wrote that I thought was a decent song. Everything before it was just a big tantrum, but this song had a touch of class,” commented Liddiard in a press statement.

“When I was putting the bong Odyssey record together again last year, I heard it and thought it was something that could work well with TFS. The original was really cool, but it still sounded more like a sketch of a song and wasn’t quite fully realised, so I took the song to TFS and we fleshed it out a bit.”

‘Legal Ghost’ is the second single to arrive from the band’s forthcoming third album. Back in March, they dropped ‘Suburbiopia’, which saw them join forces with Amy Taylor of Amyl and the Sniffers along with Sean Powell of Surfbort.

The new single will be paired with a cover of ‘Heaven’ by Talking Heads on a limited-edition 7″ vinyl. Pre-orders are available here.
