Troye Sivan Announces New EP, Shares New Song ‘Easy’

Aussie pop fave Troye Sivan has announced his first collection of music since 2018’s Bloom, sharing the news that six-song concept EP In A Dream will be released next month.

“A story that’s still unfolding, this small collection of songs explores an emotional rollercoaster period in my life when the feelings and thoughts were most shockingly fresh,” explained the singer in a press statement. “Revisiting these songs and moments is tough, but I’m proud of this music and excited to have it out in the world.”

The EP was largely recorded with producer Oscar Görres (The Weeknd, MARINA, Tove Lo) between Stockholm and Los Angeles, with recording taking place just prior to the coronavirus pandemic and resultant lockdowns.

To coincide with the announcement, Sivan has shared a new single titled ‘Easy’ which will appear on the EP along previously-released single ‘Take Yourself Home’, which arrived back in April.

While Bloom was Sivan’s last collection of new solo music, he’s kept himself pretty busy over the past couple of years, collaborating with the likes of BTS, Jónsi and, of course, Charli XCX for her mega-hit ‘1999’.

Listen to ‘Easy’ below. In A Dream is scheduled to be released Friday, 21st August through EMI.
