Tyler, The Creator is back being his irreverent, shade slinging self, taking to Twitter to call out Zayn Malik for flaking on a planned collaboration while also releasing his own remix of Malik’s single Pillowtalk.
The remix comes complete with an accompanying video of the producer/rapper dancing around in his living room. And straight up, Tyler has got some real sensual moves. He’s really feeling it.
What he wasn’t feeling though, was Zayn’s less than professional approach to a potential collaboration, as expressed in the tweet below.

But Tyler isn’t one to punish his fans (unless you count physically assaulting them at shows), and so with the prospect of seeing the actual collab now well and truly off the cards, he seems to have decided to just release his remix of Pillowtalk. And it’s huge, as Tyler has worked his production magic and turned the hard-edged, downtempo pop track into a slick, disco/funk jam sitting somewhere between Dam Funk and Mark Ronson.
Remember of course though, that Tyler is a renaissance man and a great lover of film, so naturally he had to make a video to accompany the track. He filmed himself on his laptop dancing to the song in a banging all yellow outfit from his own line Golfwang. As Tyler himself made clear too, he really didn’t have much of a choice when it came to making the video as he “HAD NO ART TO GO ALONG WITH THIS.”
Of course you didn’t Tyler, and we guess all the close up shots of your own merch line are coincidental? Love that hustle.
