Vans Warped Tour Is Coming Back From The Dead In 2025

The rumours are true! After hanging up its guitars in 2018, Vans Warped Tour is set to rise again in 2025.

Founder Kevin Lyman has confirmed that the iconic touring punk-rock festival will be back in action next year across the US, to coincide with its 30th anniversary.

Speaking with Pollstar, Lyman said: “We have something cooking for 2025. Details should be ready in a few weeks.”

No further info about the artist lineup, dates, or locations has been coughed up yet, but it’ll be interesting to see whether Warped delivers a nostalgic-leaning lineup in tribute to its glory days ala When We Were Young festival, or else a more current lineup of newer acts, or some combination of the two.

Either way, we’ll keep you looped!

If you need a quick recap, Vans Warped Tour ran annually from 1995 to 2019, becoming a defining platform for alternative and punk music in the USA. Known as the longest-running traveling music festival in North America, it embraced skate culture, championed the alternative scene and helped launch the careers of some of the biggest punk acts on earth including blink-182, My Chemical Romance, Paramore, Green Day, Fall Out Boy and more.

Warped Tour also had a sporadic presence in Australia, starting in the late 1990’s and making a couple of appearances over the years. The first Aussie edition happened in January 1998, hitting the Sydney suburb of Manly with a lineup of bands like blink-182, Pennywise, and Frenzal Rhomb.

Warped then returned down under in 2013 after a long hiatus, revamped with the help of Soundwave boss AJ Maddah, with a lineup featuring The Offspring, Simple Plan, and Parkway Drive. The tour hit cities like Brisbane, Sydney, and Melbourne.

Sadly, it was also the last time the tour was hosted in Australia, making it a final chapter in our Warped history.

At least, for now…
