Voting For Triple J’s Hottest 100 Of 2016 Opens Next Week

UPDATE 12/12/16: Hottest 100 Of 2016 voting is now open.

Can ya believe it? The buzz surrounding triple j’s Hottest 100 of 2015 has barely subsided, and yet somehow it’s already that time of year again. As of 8am AEST Monday, 12th December, voting for triple j’s Hottest 100 of 2016 will be on for young and old.

It’s been an absolutely packed year of tunage, but there’s no doubt that Flume will secure a few spots throughout triple j‘s 2016 list. At the time of writing, Sportsbet have the producer’s smash hit Never Be Like You as runaway favourite, followed by The Weeknd’s Starboy and Gold Coast-based wunderkind Amy Shark’s Adore.

Last year, The Rubens took out the Hottest 100 top spot with their track Hoops, stealing the thunder from many international heavyweights and kicking up some controversy in the process. So you can never be too sure what’s going to happen once voting kicks off next week.

Despite strong grass-roots discussion around the topic earlier this year, triple j decided they will not be changing the date of the Hottest 100 so that it doesn’t fall on Australia Day.
