Watch Alex Lahey Slay Her US Late-Night TV Debut

Your girl Alex Lahey has done Australia proud, popping her US late-night TV cherry on Seth Myers.

The guitar-slinging Melbourne muso smashed it out of the park with a livewire rendition of her punchy radio rocker ‘Every Day’s The Weekend’ in front of a packed studio audience and the thousands of yanky nightowls watching from home.

As an added ~kick~, Lahey’s drummer had his bass drum splashed with the word ‘YES’, in an awesome nod back to his homeland and the life-affirming result of this week’s marriage equality vote #LoveWins

Needless to say, Lahey’s American fanbase — which until now included at the very least the band Smash Mouth — has no doubt swelled following the performance.

“I still can’t believe this happened,” homegirl posted on Twitter after notching up the huge milestone. “Thank you so much for having us, @sethmeyers! Never been so happy x.”

It comes just a day after fellow homegrown musical gun Amy Shark repped for the Aussies on US late night tele, making her debut on James Corden.

Check out Lahey’s killer performance on Seth Myers below, or catch her performing live back on home turf at this summer’s Falls Festival.
