Watch An Incognito U2 Busk With Jimmy Fallon In A New York Subway Station

This week New York City commuters unwittingly attended a U2 concert, as the Irish rockers took to the Grand Central subway station for an impromptu busking session, forcing NYC natives and tourists alike to listen to their music whether they liked it or not. Sound familiar?

The surprise set was reportedly filmed for Jimmy Fallon‘s Tonight Show, which makes sense seeing that the US late night television show host was there with them. The band, and presumably footage of this segment, will appear on the Tonight Show on Friday, 8th May, but videos of the subway gig have already been popping up on social media.

One such video shows a cowboy hat-wearing Bono leading the crowd in a sing-a-long rendition of Angel of Harlem. It also looks like Fallon and Bono will be spoofing that infamous bicycle incident, the one that might just have ended the U2’s singer’s guitar playing career.
