Watch Boy George Crash Cyndi Lauper & Blondie’s Sydney Show For ‘Girls Just Want To Have Fun’

Fans at Cyndi Lauper and Blondie‘s Sydney co-headline show were treated to something pretty special last night, when Culture Club frontman Boy George crashed the show to duet on Lauper’s ‘Girls Just Want To Have Fun’.

After Blondie opened the show with their set, Lauper’s set saw her bring Boy George on stage to perform the classic ’80s hit, as the crowd sang along and Lauper suffered with a little technical hiccup. Watch footage of the moment, below.

“I was so happy my dear pal George was able to join me at my concert last night,” Lauper told News Corp Australia backstage.

“He is one of my favourite people and one my favourite singers on the planet. He makes me laugh and his voice makes me soar. I love George. What a lucky audience. They got to see Blondie and Boy George on the same night.”

Blondie and Cyndi Lauper’s Sydney show was the first date of their current Australian co-headline tour, which hits Melbourne on Thursday before the musos continue to tour the country as part of A Day On The Green.

Boy George is set to return to Australia later this year, and will perform a DJ set at Sydney’s Vivid festival after performing there last year.
