Watch At The Drive In Play Their First Show In Four Years, Without Jim Ward

At the Drive In kicked off their 2016 reunion tour last night with a show at the Observatory in Santa Ana California.

The first time they’ve played together in four years, founding member Jim Ward was missing however, having recently left the band just day before the tour. Replaced by Keeley Davis – who played in Ward’s post ATDI group Sparta – reports indicate the show was amazing nevertheless, the OC Weekly reporting the band gave a powerful and emotional performance.

“We never called this a reunion. We called it a reignition,” singer Cedric Bixler-Zavala reportedly told the crowd.

While the set featured selections from across their career, the focus was of course on their most recent and successful album 2000’s Relationship Of Command. Opening the show with the first three tracks from the album, you can check out some fan footage of first track Arcarsenal and more footages here with a full setlist below.

Suffice to say the boys look like they are in more than fine form.
