Watch Green Day Change The Lyrics Of ‘Holiday’ To Bash “White Supremacist” Donald Trump

Green Day have launched a scathing attack on everyone’s favourite American Idiot AKA Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump at a recent gig in New Jersey.

During a performance of their iconic American Idiot anthem Holiday – a song that rails against the kind of U.S. political conservatism that Trump (among other things) stands for – frontman Billie Joe Armstrong asked the venue to turn down the lights, while the band extended the song and BJ addressed the crowd.

“You guys been watching the news lately? What do you think of our candidates for the presidency of the United States of America?” he inquired to a round of boos and jeers. “What do you think of ‘New York’s finest,’ Mr. Donald Trump?” (cue more boos and jeers).

“No racism, no racism, no racism in this fucking room, I’ll tell you that right now,” Armstrong continued, to cheers this time. “There is no white supremacy in this fucking room right now. We are coming together, tonight here in New Jersey, to call bullshit on all the fucking politicians.”

As Green Day then ploughed ahead with the end of Holiday, Armstrong changed the song’s lyrics from “Pulverize the Eiffel Tower” to “Pulverize the Trump Towers.”

Watch it all go down in the video below.
