Watch Jack White Cover Metallica At Glastonbury

Perennial rocker Jack White has performed a cover of Enter Sandman, the massive 1991 track from metal icons Metallica, during his solo set at this year’s Glastonbury festival.

Footage of White’s set from the night of Saturday, 28th June (below) has now surfaced online, and shows the former White Stripes frontman working Enter Sandman in as in introduction to his very own song, Cannon.

White’s setlist was lined by a large number of White Stripes songs, including Dead Leaves and the Dirty Ground, Black Math, We’re Going To Be Friends and Seven Nation Army, as well as material from his two solo albums.

Metallica headlined the Worthy Farm event later in the evening, despite some festival-goers’ attempts to scrap them from the bill. Metallica took the stage soon after White’s typically blistering performance, but prefaced their slot with a short, satirical video.

Catch Jack White’s full Glastonbury set, below. His Metallica cover begins at the 45:00 mark.
