Watch Jack White’s Last Concert For The Forseeable Future

Jack White has performed his final concert before embarking on a lengthy hiatus from playing live.

The White Stripes frontman-turned-one man juggernaut polished off his short and sweet US acoustic run with a surprise show in Fargo, North Dakota; the only one of America’s 50 states he’d yet to play in.

In stark contrast to his monster headlining sets at Coachella 2015, White performed an intimate, 14-song set of stripped back renditions from across his entire catalogue, spanning The White Stripes, The Raconteurs and his solo work.

The gig was streamed exclusively through Tidal, the new streaming service that White co-owns with rapper Jay Z. But, naturally, a bootleg has since been uploaded to YouTube and you can watch it below.

White had spent the last 18 months gallivanting across the globe on his Lazaretto world tour prior to announcing his shock sabbatical from the gigging life. The announcement has therefore spelt especially bad tidings for Australian fans, who’d been keeping their fingers crossed that White would be bringing Lazaretto Down Under, some time soon.

Now it looks very unlikely that will ever happen. And with White’s live music hiatus, which kicks in effective immediately, who knows how long it will be before the troubadour returns to our shores.

Music Feeds have vented our frustrations about this unfortunate state of affairs in a hit list of tours that we’re all still waiting for. Have a gander at the gallery, below.
