The London Paralympics wrapped up overnight and some of the biggest names in contemporary music were there to lend a hand. Farewelling the games from the position of centre stage was Jay Z, Rihanna, and headliners Coldplay, all of whom round-robinned their performances together.
Hov and Rihanna joined Coldplay on stage to a full-band verson of Run This Town before Jay took the spotlight with Paradise, and of course Rhianna and Coldplay reenacted their well-known duet (recently slammed by The Vaccines) Princess of China.
Sydney Morning Herald described a powerful moment, with the performance containing everything “from people with flame throwers to dancers holding flares and fireworks erupting like the shape of a heart around 164 flag bearers, including Evan O’Hanlon for Australia.”
