Watch Lucy Dacus’ NPR Tiny Desk Concert From Her High School Classroom

Lucy Dacus has taken on the latest instalment of NPR’s Tiny Desk At Home series. As the United States slowly makes its way out of the pandemic with the vaccine, artists are now interpreting the At Home part a little differently.

Dacus decided to perform from a tiny desk at her high school in Virginia.

“Hello, my name’s Lucy Dacus and we’re at Maggie Walker High School in Richmond, Virginia,” says Dacus introducing the set. “Which is my alma mater, and this is a tiny desk.”

Her and her band perform four tracks from a classroom. All the tracks are taken from Dacus’ most recent album Home Video.

They perform ‘Brando’, ‘VBS’, ‘Going Going Gone’, and ‘Thumbs’.

This was Dacus’ third time performing NPR’s Tiny Desk Concert. She performed her own Tiny Desk in 2016, then again in 2018 as part of Boygenius, alongside Julien Baker and Phoebe Bridgers.

Lucy Dacus’ Home Video was released Friday, 25th June.
