No one has dominated music and the larger pop cultural conversation this year like Megan Thee Stallion, and she has cemented that accolade with a career-spanning performance at the 2020 Apple Music Awards.
In an ode to her hometown of Houston, Texas, the performance takes place at an empty rodeo, opening with 2019’s ‘Realer’, from her mixtape of the same year Fever.
She follows that up with ‘Girls In The Hood’, ‘Cash Shit’, ‘Don’t Stop’, the inescapable ‘Savage Remix’ and closes it with her latest hit, ‘Body’, taken from her debut album Good News.
Megan was also awarded the Breakthrough Artist Of The Year at the second annual ceremony, alongside other winners Lil Baby, Roddy Ricch and Taylor Swift.
Swift walked away with the ‘Songwriter Of The Year’ award – announced before she dropped her second album of the year with evermore – and gave an interview about her collaborators, where she named The National her favourite band.
