It’s been no real shock that American Idol judges Nicki Minaj and Mariah Carey haven’t been getting along (one built a career on hard earned talent, the other managed to skitch off the back of some sort of fleeting fad) but a video obtained by TMZ shows just how strained the relationship really is.
The sound is a bit shaky and Minaj seems to just be ranting and raving, but one line is very clear, with the pseudo-celebrity pointing at Carey and stating, “I told them, I’m not fuckin’ putting up with her fuckin’ highness over there.”
You can also see a very stressed Keith Urban attempting to mediate the situation, to little avail. The big man Randy Jackson can also be heard trying to keep the peace.
TMZ have confirmed that the shout-fest took place during auditions in North Carolina, and what’s more, the auditions had to be put on hold so both judges could chill out.
