Watch Will Ferrell And Rachel McAdams Belt Out A Banger For Netflix’s ‘Eurovision’ Film

While Eurovision 2020 might be cancelled, it is full steam ahead for Netflix’s film on the event – Eurovision Song Contest: The Story Of Fire Saga. Now, we’ve got out first taste of the film courtesy of its stars, Will Ferrell and Rachel McAdams.

The two acting icons, who star as fictional Icelandic singers Lars Erickssong and Sigrit Ericksdottir, star in this clip of a song called ‘Volcano Man’ which is about a man who lives on a volcano. Inspired.

It’s as camp and as ridiculous and as wholesome as we’ve come to expect from any Eurovision song.

Of course, it is ironic that this film is being released the same year that the infamous song contest was cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic. It’s the first time in the competition’s 64 year history where it hasn’t gone ahead.

Despite the competition’s cancellation, Australia’s 2020 contender, Montaigne, will instead represent the country at the 2021 competition instead.

Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga is out on Netflix on Friday, 26th June.
