Weird Al Yankovic has been replaced by a Summer Heights High singalong.
The promoters of Falls Festival have just unveiled the act that will replace Weird Al at the event’s Tasmanian leg. And although, in a way, it’s not really an act, in another, better way, it’s a bloody triple threat.
Although Mr. G himself will not be in attendance (*sob*), Tassie punters will get the chance to gather together and sing along to some of the drama dynamo’s greatest hits, up on the big screen.
Which, when you think about it, is genius. Because – let’s face it – who else could measure up to the hilarity and weirdness of Weird Al?
The official Mr. G Summer Heights High Singalong is set to premiere at the Sydney Opera House in January, but now Tassie punters will get their own exclusive sneak peak.
Weird Al Yankovic was forced to cancel his appearance at the Marion Bay leg of Falls due to unforseen logistical difficulties.
But now, luckily, it’s going to be G time (not free time).
Falls Marion Bay is set to take place on Tuesday, 29th December 2015.
