White Lies have just come out and announced details of their follow-up to 2009’s To Lose My Life…
To be titled Ritual and scheduled for release on Jan 17 next year, the long awaited sophomore release form the three-piece has been produced by Depeche Mode collaborator Alan Moulder and will be available in a 7-inch single boxset as well as vinyl and CD editions.
“The album is a lot about religion and a lot about love and they’re two subjects which the idea of ritual fits very nicely into,” singer Harry McVeigh told radio station XFM. “It seemed to be a theme that was recurring through the whole album when we were thinking about giving it a title.”
With sources close to the band saying the album sees the band move away from their English sounding roots, branching out to include a wide range of influences from around the world, fans and critics alike a waiting in quivering anticipation to have a listen.
