Music Feeds Podcast Episode #11 – White Lies

In the lead up to the release of third studio full-length Big TV, UK rockers White Lies took the time to talk to us for our latest podcast episode, with main man Harry McVeigh checking in for an update on all things White Lies.

Just 2 days before the big release date Harry and co were remarkably calm. Much of that confidence surely comes from the fact that Big TV is true to the band’s sound while bringing in new, elements, enough so for McVeigh to compare the record to the band’s 2009 debut album To Lose My Life…. McVeigh clued us into where the band was looking for these elements, and what brought on the need to grow.

It didn’t take too long for things to come together on Big TV, either. Within a matter of weeks in the studio, the band had figured out they were onto something great though, as the frontman explained, any thoughts on how fans might have reacted to the record were pushed to the back of their mind. After all – they had an album to finish.

At this point, the band is unsure when they’ll be able to make their way Down Under, but McVeigh reassured us that they’ve already started thinking about their next project, so by the time they get here we may have even more to be excited about.
