There are often so many good vibes going around at music festivals that you’d be forgiven for thinking you want to marry the person next to you.
Well, thankfully now you can.
Victorian New Year’s Eve festival Beyond The Valley has announced that its going to have a giant inflatable church that you can get married inside of… sort of.
Basically, anybody can get married in there, complete with a ‘priest’, vowels, speeches, a certificate and anything else that floats your loved-up boat. It won’t really be a ‘legal’ wedding, in the sense that there’s no need to get an official divorce if it doesn’t work out, but what’s a ‘legal’ wedding these days anyway?
In the day, the church will be open for ceremonies, and in the night it will turn into a wedding disco, which can act as your wedding reception, if you like.
This is the same giant inflatable church that has toured the world, parking itself at festivals like Bestival and Electric Gardens. It holds the Guinness World Record for the largest inflatable church, standing at 10 metres high and six metres wide.
If you do get married at Beyond The Valley, you’re going to have a pretty ace soundtrack. Chance The Rapper, Claptone, Hudson Mohawke and more are playing, and if you time your wedding just right you may even hear them in the background.
