KLP Announced As New Host Of Triple J House Party

Kristy Lee Peters, who goes by the production/DJ moniker KLP, has been announced as the new host of Triple J Saturday night staple House Party, taking over from longtime host Nina Las Vegas, who announced last week that she would be stepping down to concentrate on Mix Up Exclusives.

“As a big lover of all musical genres, triple j was always my go to radio station. To now not only be a part of the triple j team, but to be able to put together mixes, blending many musical styles into one big party to share with the country, is going to be ridiculously fun,” said Peters in a statement.

Peters has gone from strength to strength since first impressing Triple J brass with her productions uploaded to their Unearthed website. From there, the young Sydney-based artist went on to win the Unearthed Field Day competition, scoring herself a place on the epic Field Day 2014 lineup.

Music Feeds caught up with Peters ahead of her performance at Field Day, during which she stressed her “obsession” with music and her eclectic taste, saying, “I seriously like and listen to such a range of music… Ask me about some old school yacht rock, or even pop music.”

Peters will officially take over as the host of House Party on Saturday, 5th April. Nina Las Vegas will return to “up the ante” on Mix Up Exclusives on Saturday, 7th June, while the beloved Veronica & Lewis will also be coming back to the J to present Weekend Afternoons from Saturday, 26th April.
