Ninajirachi Announces New EP ‘Girl EDM’, Shares Dark Crystal Tour Dates

Ninajirachi has shared details of her fifth EP, entitled Girl EDM. It is set for release next month on Tuesday May 14th via Nina Las Vegas‘ imprint NLV Records. To coincide with the announcement, the hyperpop producer/DJ has shared a new single from it and dates for her third mini-festival/rave entitled Dark Crystal.

‘Hand On My Heart’, the new single, is the second track to be lifted from Girl EDM following ‘Ninacamina’ back in February. In a press statement regarding the song, Ninajirachi explained that it was inspired by her first visit to New York City in 2023. “That city was truly everything I’d been promised, and I left feeling incredibly inspired,” she said.

“I’ve played this song in almost every set since then. It’s a good picture of what I’m listening to right now. I’m always trying to make my own favourite songs.”

Girl EDM follows on from last year’s 4×4 EP, which included features from Ravenna Gordon and longtime collaborator Kota Banks. Her last studio album Second Nature was released in 2022, and featured Banks as well as Montaigne and Raj Mahal, amongst others.

Ninajirachi will launch Girl EDM with her Dark Crystal event across late May and early June. The inaugural Dark Crystal took place in 2022 as part of that year’s VIVID Live line-up, and returned in 2023 with an expansion into Melbourne. Dark Crystal III will include a Brisbane iteration for the first time, as well as the first Australian shows for New York producer/DJ/singer-songwriter Doss.

Joining the pair on the line-up will be Venezualan-Australian artist Cherry Chola and Melbourne DJ 1NN3R53LF (pronounced “inner relief”). The remainder of Dark Crystal III‘s line-up is yet to be announced. All three dates for the shows, as well as ticketing information, can be found below.
