Watch A$AP Rocky Sing Karaoke With Rod Stewart, James Corden In A Car

A$AP Rocky recently sampled Rod Stewart on his Mark Ronson-produced track Everyday, and even joked about creating a mixtape together, but now the pair have finally got to perform together, albeit in slightly bizarre circumstances.

Stewart hopped in the car with Late Late Show host James Corden for his incresingly popular Carpool Karaoke segment which has seen him drive and sing with the likes of Mariah Carey, Jennifer Hudson and Justin Bieber.

Along with good chats about the rockstar lifestyle, Stewart and Cordon wailed through renditions of The First Cut Is The Deepest, Do Ya Think I’m Sexy and Rocky’s Everyday.

The hook in Everyday is actually a sample of pre-Faces Rod Stewart singing on Australian band Python Lee Jackson’s 1970 single In A Broken Dream.

In the car karaoke session, Stewart sings the hook (and appears to struggle slightly with the words) and Rocky pops up out of nowhere for his rap as the veteran rocker does his best to adopt a hip-hop persona.

The pair actually have great chemistry, in an endearingly awkward sort of way.

“He’s a lovely bloke too, isn’t he?” Stewart says of the rapper as he disappears again. “I don’t know if I’ve ever felt as cool as I do in this moment of my life right now, I genuinely don’t,” said Corden.

Imagine pulling up at the traffic lights alongside this car.
