Here’s How To Get Your First Listen Of Ed Sheeran’s New Album

The release of Ed Sheeran’s fourth studio album, =, is upon us and tomorrow (October 29), fans will be able to cop their first listen as well as the opportunity to interact with Ed himself.

The special ‘First Listen’ live-stream event is being hosted by Apple Music, kicking off from 2:30pm AEDT. Streaming exclusively through this link, the event will see Ed Sheeran linking up with Zane Lowe to play through songs from and answer questions from fans.

It’s the first time Ed will be breaking the record down in only the way artists do when an interviewer like Zane Lowe is in the mix. Expect a cracking convo and some insights into how Ed put together tracks like ‘Bad Habits’ and ‘Shivers’.

Most recently, fans were able to catch Ed performing from home as part of another renowned series brand – NPR’s Tiny Desk. For the event, Ed was joined by no less than 16 musicians; a different vibe to what fans normally would expect (ie. just Ed and his plethora of pedals).

Apple Music’s ‘First Listen’ series has been bringing artists together with fans, bridging that gap during the pandemic, with some sick virtual events featuring artists like Olivia Rodrigo, BLACKPINK, Keith Urban and more.
