Producers of Channel 9’s ratings smash The Voice are in negotiations to get Prince to perform on the hit reality show later this month.
The Daily Telegraph’s Kathy McCabe has heard Prince has been invited to perform a medley of his greatest hits on the show’s May 21 episode, the night before his third Sydney concert.
It wouldn’t be the first time Prince has thrown his support behind a reality TV singing contest – he performed at the 2009 finale of American Idol.
And in an extra sweet link – apparently The Voice judge and Prince’s friend Seal is hosting a suite at his second Sydney show at Allphones Arena tonight.
The Voice has been the biggest local TV show of the year so far – peaking as high as 4.2 million viewers, so a Prince appearance would almost certainly send those figures even higher.
