Tommy Lee Bids Farewell To 360 Drum Kit Roller Coaster

Mötley Crüe drummer Tommy Lee has announced the end of an era. Performing recently at the Trump Taj Mahal in Atlantic City, Lee revealed the show would be the last time he rides the 360 drum kit roller coaster. As devastating as this might be for some fans, the legendary rocker offers up some hope, revealing there’s another contraption in the making.

Utilised during his iconic drum solos, the 360 drum kit roller coaster has become a staple of any Mötley Crüe gig. Recently, the set-up was subject to a legal dispute after engineer Scott King claimed the designs belonged to him. Lee shut down the story but it seems he’s now focused on bigger and better things…

An avid social networker, Lee tweeted, “Don’t you all worry! Just wait til ya see what crazy I got for ya next!” before hashtagging #campgoodlife which could mean just about anything but definitely indicates something big and awesome is at hand.

For now, the roller coaster will be set off to the trash yard, but not without a solemn and dignified farewell, as Lee revealed va Twitlonger:

“A bottle of Champagne smashed on the coaster last night as it sets sail for the scrap yard! Ha! Man we’ve given so many people the thrill of a lifetime together! all the crazy fuckers who’ve I’ve strapped in with me who had the balls to ride with me and all the spectators that have watched from a far! Cheers to ya all! This ones for the history books kids! We did it! On to design the next Spectacular!”
