AJ Maddah Shares More Soundwave Documentary Details

Soundwave promoter AJ Maddah has announced via Twitter that Soundwave 2014 ticket-holders who purchased their tickets before 10th December 2013 will be receiving a free copy of the upcoming Soundwave documentary, in the process revealing some details about the project.

Music Feeds reported in August last year that Maddah had confirmed to a fan that a documentary about Australia’s foremost hard rock festival was in the works, with M Shawn Crahan, better known as Clown or Number 6, a percussionist in heavy metal band Slipknot, slated to direct the film.

“To all of you who bought your tickets prior to Dec 10, we’re giving you a free copy of the SW doco set for release in Feb,” tweeted Maddah, spreading Christmas cheer to his loyal followers. Maddah also revealed that Slipknot frontman Corey Taylor has been involved with the production of the film.

“This amazing doco was made by [Corey Taylor] and [M. Shawn Crahan] at SW12. We’re working on means of delivery on this now,” wrote Maddah, before elaborating on what fans might be able to expect from this special project, “there’s some live footage, interviews and backstage footage.”

“I didn’t announce this earlier is because I didn’t want it to be an incentive to buy SW tickets; but a genuine unconditional gift,” added Maddah, further cementing his Good Guy Maddah status and making Christmas Eve just a little more special for his ardent and very thankful fans.
