Watch: Quentin Tarantino’s ‘Django Unchained’ 1st Full Length Trailer

Written by Marc Zanotti on June 7, 2012

Empire Online has brought to our attention the first official full length trailer for Quentin Tarantino’s upcoming film Django Unchained starring Jamie Foxx, Leonardo DiCaprio and Christoph Waltz (Col. Hans Landa in Inglourious Basterds). Django Unchained is due out around Christmas in the States, but Australians will have to wait till January 2013.

This trailer won’t make the wait any easier for those keen to see the film. Kicking off with Johnny Cash’s Ain’t No Grave, the trailer sees Waltz ‘acquire’ Foxx and thus begin a Western adventure of revenge and redemption with all the Tarantino trademarks: namely sweet dialogue and plenty of violence.

For you uber Tarantino fans, in Django Unchained it will be fascinating to see how the celebrated director will intertwine this Western world into the fabric of his other films. To understand the extent of how Tarantino links his films via dialogue, imagery and character lineage, check out this article by Collider.
