PREMIERE: Sydney Indie Rockers Bad Pony Unleash Snarling New EP, ‘Deficiency’

Sydney’s swaggering indie rock stalwarts Bad Pony have kicked back with a walloping new EP dubbed Deficiency.

Fans of Royal Blood, Two Door Cinema Club, Nothing But Thieves, Foals, old school Kingswood and blues riffage in general should appreciate the moments of light and shade in the musical storytelling of this epic six-tracker, which you can catch premiering exclusively via Music Feeds below.

“It’s such a relief to get this EP out,” the band — fresh from their critically acclaimed stint at SXSW — tell us. “We’ve been incredibly time poor and have been almost constantly touring for the past 3 years (since the release of our first EP Limbo).

“We called it Deficiency because it’s is a collection of songs about longing for something. It’s dark and heavy and fun and energetic and tender. We’re really excited to have it out, it means a lot to us and we hope it means something to you too.”

To celebrate the release of the disc, Bad Pony will be hitting the road for a fistful of live dates across Australia’s east coast (and Tassie!).
