The thinking woman’s folk ruffian, The Bedroom Philosopher is cranking the electric blanket up to ten with his National “Head Sex and Bed Socks” tour. To combat winter he’ll be layering his thermals and his performance with a radical rumpus of wit, song smarts and madcap banter.
Some may remember The Bedroom Philosopher as being the musical comedian responsible for the Triple J favourite I’m So Post Modern, a folk song poking fun at new age hipsters. The man behind the persona is comedian Justin Heazlewood, a regular on various radio and TV shows, who has now released his third studio album.
In celebration of his recently released third studio album ‘Songs from the 86 Tram’ The Bedroom Philosopher (aka Justin Heazlewood) is hitting the road with his band The Awkwardstra for a host of dates all over the country.
Justin Heazelwood (aka The Bedroom Philosopher) is an odd character. Maybe it was growing up in Burnie, Tasmania, maybe it was living in Canberra while at Uni or maybe it’s the bohemian Melbourne lifestyle. Either way, it makes for musical comedy gold.
