Starting out slow, the genre-spanners added a touch of slick guitar, synth and electronic drums to the track to give it new life. Vocalist Carlos ‘Q-Dome’ Lara let his voice soar in an impressive ode to Abel Makkonen Tesfaye (The Weeknd)’s own pop vocal prowess.
Rascal also performed an invigorating rendition of their own decidedly dub track Asleep In The Machine from their debut album of the same name.
Bootleg Rascal released Asleep In The Machine in January and are currently touring the country with dates to come in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and regional areas.
