Kicking off in March 2013, Golden Plains Lucky 7 is already starting to blossom, with organisers proudly announcing today the events headlining act and officially declaring that the ballots be open to one and all.
After much festival hype, Cat Power will be taking the stage as main act for the event taking place at Meredith Supernatural Amphitheatre. The internationally praised siren will be seeing in the nighttime come Saturday night of Golden Plains, performing with her all-new band while in town. A strong start to the line up, which you can expect in full this coming october.
The balloting will work much the same this year as it did in years past. That is, in a super easy and bizarrely logical manner. Punters will need to jot over to the Website and sign up for the ballots. The system is implimented to make things as fair as possible. All those who enter the ballot will have the chance to buy tickets before the general public. Those who are already registered will have very first pick, and those who register now will have their chance soon after.
The location, the ticketing and the set up will be the same as previous years as well. Organisers are sticking to the one-stage layout which is amazing for oh so many reasons, and allow for plenty of room for activities, and picnic blankets. Tickets will also be the same price, and once again the event remains BYO, commercial sponsor free, and the No dickheads rule still stands strong.
Remember a time when festivals were easy, fun and authentic? Aunty Meredith does. Stay tuned for more details.
