Chugg Entertainment To Bring US Dance Festival To Australia

The godfather of Australian touring, Michael Chugg, is set to try his hand at the EDM festival market. It was recently announced, and since confirmed, that Chugg Entertainment will be teaming up with a US counterpart to bring Lights All Night to Australia in 2013.

“Not another dance festival” some of you might be thinking, but no, you’re wrong. Whilst the currently Australian festival market may be bloated and about to burst at the seams, we have few events that could equal that of Highland Entertainment‘s baby, Lights All Night.

The NYE festival has been held in Dallas, Texas for the bast 3 years. Upon unveiling the lineup for this year’s instalment, organisers told Dallas News that “Highland Entertainment and Aussie-based concert promoter Chugg Entertainment will join forces for a Lights All Night Down Under in 2013.”

Now today, in an interview with TheMusic.com.au, Chugg Entertainment CEO Matthew Lazarus-Hall backed that up, stating, “We’re all really excited about this new venture to bring Lights All Night to our shores. It’s new territory for us, delving into the electronic scene, but it’s a great concept and we feel it’ll work really well in Australia.”

Featuring on this year’s festival bill are international heavyweights Tiesto, Avicii, Bassnectar, Calvin Harris, Axwell and so many more. We can be sure to expect similar things on the Australian franchise.

Chugg himself further added that the event is most likely to take place in the first 4 months of 2013.
