Fairgrounds Festival Is Back For 2017, And May Have Just Teased Its First Act

UPDATE: Fairgrounds Festival has now unveiled its 2017 lineup in full.

ORIGINAL STORY: New South Wales’ sun-soaked Fairgrounds Festival has announced its return for 2017, and may have just teased the first act on its lineup.

Fairgrounds will return to the idyllic town of Berry on the NSW south coast on Friday, 8th and Saturday, 9th December, after two successful iterations which have featured sets by the likes of Father John Misty, King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard, Sarah Blasko, Rodriguez and Ratatat.

Along with today’s date announcement, Fairgrounds Festival has released a teaser video for this year’s shindig which features the song ‘I Need A Woman’ by Hockey Dad, who haven’t played the festival before.

It could be a hint that the band will be performing at Fairgrounds this year, or we could just be reading into it too much. Festival organisers have declined to comment on the video, and say that the first lineup announcement will be made in August.

Watch the video alongside Fairgrounds Festival’s 2017 dates, below.

Aside from live music, this year’s Fairgrounds Festival is also promising record fairs, artist talks, food and markets from local vendors, camping provisions and entertainment options for families.
