Fleetwood Mac Release 4 New Songs On New EP ‘Extended Play’

Fleetwood Mac have released a brand-new 4-song EP, appropriately titled Extended Play, and a new single, Sad Angel, as promised by Lindsay Buckingham on stage in Philadelphia last month. This is the first new music from the rock legends since the 2003 LP Say You Will.

Extended Play features 3 Lindsay Buckingham-penned tracks, Sad Angel, It Takes Time and Miss Fantasy, and one written by Stevie Nicks, Without You – a “lost” song from the pre-Fleetwood Mac Buckingham Nicks album era recently rediscovered when a fan posted an early demo on YouTube.

The EP is available exclusively through iTunes and the new material is going down a treat with fans, with Buckingham saying:

“We all felt that it would be great to go into the studio and record new material before embarking on this tour and the result has been remarkable – our best group of songs in a long time. It’s a work in progress but we’re so enthused by what we’ve done that we thought we’d share some of it with our fans in the form of an EP now. We’re performing two cuts, Sad Angel and Without You, in the show and the response has been terrific.”

Fleetwood Mac are currently embarking on a tour of North America and will hopefully be heading to Australia later in the year. Stevie Nicks suggested the band would be coming our way in an interview last December, saying the band might do 15 or so shows, but nothing has been officially announced as of yet.
