Florence + The Machine Stream ‘Only The Love’ From ‘The Great Gatsby’ Soundtrack

Finally, no more snippets of things. Florence + The Machine’s contribution to The Great Gatsby soundtrack Only The Love has been streamed in it’s entirety, and rightly so – this jam is far too epic to be interrupted.

Florence went all out with this one, delivering her trademark power vocals that are going to add a hell of a lot of depth to whichever scene the song appears in. Things are probably going to be getting pretty heated in one way or another given the gradual escalation of Only The Love, which waits until the last moments to unleash.

GQ write that the story of the song is from the perspective of Daisy, the lifelong flame of Gatsby. If you’re into the F. Scott Fitzgerald novel you’re sure to get a kick out of the intertextuality of the tune.

The soundtrack speaks volumes for the film adaptation, given the array of contemporary artists who are set to feature. Jay-Z curated the whole thing, of course selecting Beyonce to also appear with André 3000, The xx and Lana Del Rey also featured.
