Hailed by the New York Times as “the songwriting competition to take note of” The International Songwriting Competition (ISC) deadline has snuck up on us. November 1 will be cut off point for anyone interested in entering the competition.
Those who enter will go in the running to score a share of $150,000 in cold hard cash and prizes. The winner will take away a cool $25,000 cash and over $40,000 in prizes. To enter, all you need to do is head over to the Official Website and follow the prompts.
ISC is also known for collecting a prestigious panel of judges every year. 2012 sees the likes of Tom Waits, Jeff Beck, Nas, Martina McBride, Mark Foster (Foster the People), AVICII, Derek Trucks, and Monte Lipman (President of Universal Republic Records) as key decision makers for the competition.
There is a full list of the judges, both artists and industry figures, available on the website.
Seriously, what’s the worst that can happen if you enter?
