Glastonbury Has Revealed Its 2015 Lineup

It seems to be absolutely pissing down with major festival announcements today. Around the same time as the monster Splendour in the Grass lineup dropped, another internationally-renowned festival revealed more of its secrets for 2015.

Glastonbury has unveiled a gargantuan bill of 75 acts, who will join previously-announced headliners Kanye West and Foo Fighters at this year’s farmyard event, featuring a variety of big-name artists from across a broad spectrum of musical genres, from hip hip diva Mary J Blige to heavy metal legends Motörhead.

Melbourne shooting star songstress Courtney Barnett is, so far, the only Aussie on the bill. However, homegrown rock legends AC/DC have been tipped as the event’s mysterious third headliner, a spot which has so far yet to be announced.

There are also several crossovers between the Glasto and Splendour In The Grass bills for 2015, with a number of acts including Florence + The Machine, Jamie T, The Vaccines, Death Cab For Cutie and Catfish & The Bottlemen being enlisted for both heavyweight festivals.

Extra additions on the Worthy Farm stage will be Alt-J, Pharrell Williams, Lionel Richie, Alabama Shakes, Paloma Faith, The Chemical Brothers, Rudimental, Deadmau5 and veteran Patti Smith.

This year’s Glastonbury Festival will will run from June 24th to June 28th at its traditional home of Somerset. Ticketing details for those thinking of hopping a plane to this year’s musical mecca are listed on the official Glastonbury website.
