Korn Announce Release Date For New Album

Korn have confirmed that their brand new album will hit shelves late-September and unlike the dubstep-infested The Path Of Totality, and any other album released post-2003, this one will feature the band’s original guitarist.

The 11th studio album from the nu-metal survivors will see axeman Brian “Head” Welch return to the fold for the first time since 2003’s Take A Look In The Mirror. With any luck, this means that Korn will be returning to the sound we once knew and loved.

The band themselves seem pretty chuffed on the record, with Munky telling Pulse Of The Radio that:

“It’s heavy metal with lots of melody,…Jonathan [Davis]’s lyrics are — the way he elaborates and articulates on different subjects, his melodies are so killer. I can’t wait for people to hear it.”

The release date of Tuesday, 24th September was made public by the band’s drummer, Ray Luzier, who uploaded an image to Instagram of the band at a press conference where journo’s were apparently exposed to two brief samples of new material.

Footage from the conference has made it online and you can check it out below.
