Listen: How To Destroy Angels Stream New EP ‘An Omen’

Written by Mike Hohnen on November 9, 2012

Trent Reznor has today pulled the sheet back on what has been a very publicised project. How to Destroy Angels‘s second EP is now available for all to check out. An Omen is everything you’d expect from Reznor.

The group itself is a collaborative effort between Reznor’s wife Mariqueen Maanding, film composer Atticus Ross, and Nine Inch Nails Art Director Rob Sheridan. Previously, the team released a debut EP back in 2010, which was met with tremendous approval, promoting the group to do more.

An Omen is pretty much everything you’d want from the Nine Inch Nails frontman: dark, creepy, ominous (of course) yet playful at the same time, minimal but by no means underwhelming. An array of soundscapes are traversed throughout the EP, but the tracks never stray too far from the How to Destroy Angels glitchy, intricate sound.

The EP won’t be officially released either physically or digitally until next week. So why not get in before the masses and check it out today, many thanks to The Hype Machine.

Speaking of Reznor, he has also recently revealed that sometime in the near future, he guarantees there will be another NIN album AND tour! Stay tuned for more deets on that one.
