Motörhead’s Lemmy Labels Mitt Romney A ‘Fucking Monster’

Written by Marc Zanotti on November 6, 2012

Motörhead’s main man Lemmy has called American Presidential Candidate Mitt Romney a “fucking monster” in an interview recently published by Rolling Stone. The comments come as the Presidential campaign winds down its final hours before people hit the booths to vote for either Romney or President Obama.

The subject of Romney came up when Rolling Stone mentioned a previous interview with Chuck Berry in which the legendary blues player expressed his gratitude to be alive to witness The Untied States elect its first black President in Barack Obama. Never the type to shy away from sharing a piece of his mind, Lemmy opened about his thoughts on President Obama and the dismay he feels at the idea of Romney taking over the Oval Office.

“I would have said America wasn’t ready for it [Obama being elected in 2008]. And I don’t think they were, because they’re trying to drag him down now. I mean, the poor fucker’s only just gotten rid of all that George Bush shit that he left, or is trying to. And he’s being stonewalled by the fucking Congress all the time. I don’t know how he’s gotten anything done. They should be glad. I mean the alternative is Mitt Romney. Please, please don’t vote for Mitt Romney. Fuck him. Repeal abortion law is the first thing he’ll do. Fucking monster.”

Romney and the Republican party certainly have their critics amongst the music community. Back in August Rage Against the Machine guitarist Tom Morello tore shreds of Romney’s pick for Vice President Paul Ryan, after Ryan claimed to be a fan of RATM.

Then in October Snoop Dogg aka Snoop Lion published an amusing list of reasons why not to vote for Romney, listing reason #1 as “He a white nigga” followed by “This muthafucka’s name is Mitt”.

Although more a children’s performer, Sesame Street’s Big Bird also let Romney know what he thinks of the conservative politician’s plans to cut subsidies to PBS should he be elected.
