Mumford & Sons Announce New Album ‘Delta’, Plan 60-Date World Tour

UPDATE: Mumford & Sons Announce 2019 Australian Tour

ORIGINAL STORY: British folk-rockers Mumford & Sons have announced their fourth studio album Delta, teased a 60-date world tour and released a new single in one swoop.

The album has been recorded at The Church Studios in London and produced by Paul Epworth (Adele, Rihanna), and while there’s apparently still a bit of recording to go, the Mumford boys expect it to be complete by this weekend.

Delta is set for release on Friday 16th November through Dew Process/UMA, but we’ve already received the first taste ‘Guiding Light’. The new track unpacks a lot of emotional content, but still has an uplifting sound.

The new album has been described as a collection of “differing shades, colours and textures” and is said to be a “tender, introspective and reflective” listen, but with moments of optimism.

The third layer of their three-tier cake of an announcement was that we’ll soon hear details of a huge world tour, which will be revealed on Friday, 5th October and will hit up 13 countries over 60 dates.

Mumford & Sons were last in Australia in 2015, when they performed in Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney as part of their ‘Gentlemen Of The Road’ tour.
