“We used to just sing about stiffies but we’ve sort of outgrown that – we’ve matured as artists,” says Jason Leigh, bass player of Melbourne-based erectile rock duo The Stiffys, of the duo’s new EP, We Are Groovy Boys. They’ll be bringing that new maturity into Music Feeds Studio this Thurday.
“This is the first time we’ve ever had a record in the shops before and we’re really excited because the ladies will probably know all the words to our songs,” says drummer Adam Stagg. We Are Groovy Boys was first unleashed upon the masses with lead single Boogie Boarding (see below).
Besides a run of tour dates, which kicked off early last month at Frankie’s Pizza in Sydney and concludes later this week, the epic promotional campaign in support of Groovy Boys has seen Jason and Adam don their best short shorts and get active in their own series of exercise videos.
