New Outdoor Concert Series Rolling Green Lineup Announced

The organisers behind A Day On The Green have today announced a brand new sister festival for younger punters, which will debut next April. Dubbed Rolling Green, the inaugural event will be headlined by blues rock duo The Black Keys, with support from Spiderbait, Band Of Skulls, and Bad//Dreems.

It’s been a big day for fans of The Black Keys. The multi-platinum rockers’ headlining spot for the very first Rolling Green outdoor show in April is just the latest in a string of big announcements that include being named as headliners for Byron Bay Bluesfest 2015 and a recently announced Australian tour.

Rolling Green will feature performances from Spiderbait, who are currently on a sold-out national tour after releasing their first album in almost a decade last year. Band of Skulls will also return to Australia with their third album, Himalayan, following a whirlwind East Coast run in June this year, and Adelaide rockers Bad//Dreems will be airing tracks from their debut EP, Badlands, which dropped in August.

Rolling Green will be held this April at Rochford Wines in the Yarra Valley and Bimbadgen Winery in the Hunter Valley. “A Day On The Green has found its place but there is no reason younger audiences should not see bands they want to see in the beautiful environments that have made A Day On The Green such an established event for an older crowd,” said promoter Michael Newton.
