Parkway Drive Rock The Post-Apocalypse In ‘Wild Eyes’ Music Video

Written by Mike Hohnen on May 14, 2013

International metal heavyweights Parkway Drive have used the video feature for their latest single, Wild Eyes, to demonstrate what it would be like to catch one of their shows in a post-apocalyptic world. The good news is, not too much seems to have changed. The clip features sweaty, dirty kids getting their throw-down on, stacks of breakdowns and a band that wouldn’t be able to lose their fury even if they tried.

The song sees the Byron Bay lads explore the furthest reaches of their soundscape resulting in some wicked cool minimal shred that proves sometimes less is more. Fans will surely be very familiar with the track, which first saw the light of day back in October 2012 on their fourth album Atlas. Habitually topping the charts with a string of high-end releases, Parkway Drive’s latest video effort makes me wish I paid more attention to this particular album.

Things seem to be going smoothly for their recently announced 10th Anniversary Tour. Melbourne has been granted a second show to take place Sunday, 22nd September at The Palace as a preemptive strike against a soon-to-be sold out show on the preceding Friday, 20th September.
