RAIN: A Festival For Bushfire Relief has been announced for Sunday, 15th December at The Basement in Sydney. This special one-night-only event will see some of Sydney’s finest soul artists, including Cumbiamuffin and Alphamama, unite to help charities providing bushfire relief.
An eclectic assortment of talent, which includes over 16 musicians, artists and DJs, will be lending their talents and energy to provide for ongoing local emergency assistance for those affected by recent bushfires. More than a fundraiser, RAIN will be “a celebration of life, solidarity, and mateship.”
One of the lineup’s most supreme talents is Sydney-based singer Alphamama, whose singular combination of image and rare musical ability has seen her recently play Indonesia’s largest urban music festival, Java SoulNation, and she’s supported and shared the stage with the likes of Salt n Pepa, Jessica Mauboy, and Dead Prez.
Other artists slated for the bill include Cumbiamuffin, P Smurf + Big Village, Milan, Monday OG’s, Rosïe and the Bees, Alice Terry, The Venusians, Ambre Hammond and Marcello Maio, Thandiwe Phoenix, Bravo Child, Phil Toke (Soul of Sydney), and Shantan Wantan Ichiban.
Tickets are priced at $20 + bf, with all proceeds from ticket sales going to charities working to provide bushfire relief. The organisers of RAIN proudly support The Salvation Army and W.I.R.E.S. Tickets are available through Moshtix and The Basement website. Check below for details.
